State Senate Ad buys

Recently a few republican state Senate candidates bought some air time. Brian Bingman is having 15 second spots piggybacking on Todd Hiett ads in the Tulsa market, so that they would not have to pay the premium for the ads. Ami Shaffer and Mark Wofford spilt 30 second air time. Wofford's ad attacks Easley while Shaffer's ad is positive. Sean Burrage has released a new ad as well. Now this brings up a good question, "Are the campaigns supposed to be independent and not collaborate?" Yes. Also if they are getting a discount by buying together, "Are the television stations giving a contribution to the campaign?" Yes.
